I had the dubious pleasure to fly with Northwest to Seattle last week and for me, Northwest is now finally blacklisted. Not only do they still fly hopelessly outdated DC-10s (I am not qualified to make a judgement about the airframe, but I am qualified to make a judgement about the cabin), but I also really have a problem with the cabin crew attitude. There's nothing wrong with the cabin crew's average age being well above 50, but I do have a problem with them acting as if they're looking after a kindergarten. Point in case: "Madam, can I have a 7up please?" Answer: "Son, the galley is up there in front and you may want to stretch your legs anyways".

agree with you on this one... OTOH, not many other airlines offer to let you walk up to the galley and get "extra stuff"... that oughta be worth at least 5 points (on a scale of your choice)...

I agree, too. I went from Durham to Chicago some time ago, and I didn't even get a seat reserved. I was told to go there very early, so I could get a good seat :-)

Indeed. Same event I went to and took NorthWest. They lost my luggage coming in. My first flight was late so the connection in St. Paul was tight. I managed to make the connection, my luggage didn't.

On the return flight home, same problem, delayed flight. Connection was really really tight. When I got the connecting gate I asked them to see if my bags had made it over. She gave me a real hard time for even asking saying because it was an international flight, security would not allow my bag to travel on another plane other than the one I was on. She assured me that my bag would be on the plane or they would ask me to get off.

Guess what. Luggage didn't make it.

When I got back to Toronto - I had to turn around and go to chicago. They said they would send my bags there. took them 3 days to get it there. Ridiculous.

The last time I flew NWA was also to chicago and they lost my luggage there too.
